Climate change project handed over to Government of Samoa

The ‘Enhancing Resilience of Coastal Communities of Samoa to Climate Change’ project was approved in March 2012 by the Adaptation Fund Board and run by the Government with the UNDP providing technical support. Its objective was to strengthen the ability of Samoan communities and public service to make informed decisions and manage climate change-driven pressures, in a pro-active, integrated and strategic way. Speaking on behalf of the UNDP yesterday, programme manager Yvette Kerslake thanked the various stakeholders and said the project was successfully implemented since the project document’s signing November 2012.
