This brochure highlights the implementation and planned activities of the SCALA programme in Ethiopia from 2020–2025, developed in collaboration with FAO, UNDP, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the former Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Commission (EFCCC). The programme has supported Ethiopia’s efforts to drive transformative and inclusive climate action in agriculture and land use by strengthening evidence-based, gender-responsive planning; enhancing national and sub-national systems for climate action; and mobilizing climate finance and private sector investment in resilient value chains. Building on Ethiopia’s Climate Resilient Green Economy (CRGE) initiative, National Adaptation Plan (NAP), and updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), the programme reflects the country’s agroecological diversity and commitment to advancing sustainable and inclusive solutions to climate change.
