This is a hybrid meeting, and we welcome your online participation.
2025 is a crucial year for enhancing and implementing NDCs, as countries are expected to update their contributions while accelerating their implementation efforts. In this context, it is essential to ensure that adaptation targets and actions are clear, ambitious, and investment-ready. The new report Advancing Adaptation for NDCs 3.0 and the forthcoming Adaptation Investment Planning Supplement to the Climate Investment Planning and Mobilization Framework (CIPMF) are two key tools designed to inform countries in this process. Both draw on lessons from NDC Partnership members and countries, offering a practical approach to advancing the adaptation agenda in the next round of NDCs. They are designed to facilitate knowledge exchange, support informed decision-making, and drive adaptation action.
This session will showcase the aforementioned tools and foster an exchange on strengthening adaptation-focused climate action. It will highlight key insights from the Global Stocktake, the UAE Framework for Global Climate Resilience, and lessons learned from National Adaptation Plans (NAPs). Additionally, the discussion will explore practical tools, case studies, and collaborative approaches to enhance adaptation ambition. Experts from governments, technical institutions, and partner organizations will share their experiences and strategies to ensure the effective integration of adaptation into NDCs.
