In the Yom-Nan River Basin, where floods and droughts disrupt livelihoods, UNDP and the Royal Irrigation Department (RID), with Green Climate Fund (GCF) support, are turning risk into resilience. Two floodgates in Sukhothai, co-designed with communities, ensure water security beyond rainfall. But resilience isn’t just about technology—it’s grounded in people. Farmers are adapting: shifting planting times, using climate tools, and managing soil moisture. Over 60,000 have gained new skills—living with nature by understanding it, and shaping a future rooted in collaboration and hope.
