UNDP Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia - 19 March 2026. United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry (MOFALI), held a workshop on “Aligning Climate, Biodiversity, and Gender in Public Finance” to support Mongolia’s efforts to operationalize its updated climate and biodiversity commitments following the submission of its third Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0), National Adaptation Plan (NAP), and the updated National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP 2026–2030). Building on previous capacity building efforts, the training introduced practical tools to integrate climate, biodiversity, and gender considerations into public finance, with a focus on the agriculture sector. The event was organized under UNDP’s SCALA Programme, jointly with the BIOFIN II and Food Systems Transformation projects. Read the full press release here
