As part of the CREA Congress 2025 held at Tecnópolis, Buenos Aires, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Argentina presented SCALA, a project developed together with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), which seeks to support the sustainable transition of the agricultural sector. The presentation, attended by producers, entrepreneurs, and sector leaders, was led by María Eugenia Di Paola, Programme Coordinator, and included the presence of CREA authorities.

Representing this non-profit association of agricultural entrepreneurs who organise themselves in groups to exchange experiences and knowledge tha has over 2,000 member businesses were its president Fernando Nevares, secretary Sebastián Sabattini, head of the Research and Development Unit Ariel Angeli, and Forage Monitoring Leader Mercedes Vasallo. Di Paola was accompanied by Nahuel Pugliese from the Environment and Sustainable Development Area and Carla Pascale Medina, Project Coordinator.

“SCALA aims to support the transition of agricultural production models so they can achieve greater sustainability and competitiveness,” emphasized the UNDP Programme Coordinator during her presentation. CREA will actively collaborate on SCALA through various activities, including work with agricultural producers who are part of the association.
